Since you are here, you probably want to know a little about us. We are Craig and Tricia, a couple of cajuns from South Louisiana traveling a new path; creating this blog called Cajun Trippers. Our brand has not yet solidified, but it feels like it will have something to do with the Cajun French expression, “Laissez les bons temps rouler!” In English, “Let the good times roll!” expresses our joy of living. This is a reflection of the attitude, behavior and culture of South Louisiana.
Some call it retirement, I call it a new way of living and working after “Living to Work” for the past 41 years. So, instead of “Living to Work”, this Baby Boomer is applying the Millennial generation motto “Work to Live”. You may agree that the word “retirement” has a hollow unexciting tone. After working 41 years in grocery stores, shipyards, a tool warehouse, residential construction, carpentry shops, a poultry plant, a shrimp plant, produce distribution, oil refineries and oil pipeline companies while raising a family, and then “retiring”, it is time to “let the good times roll”, literally. Join us as we “sell everything” and move into our RV, to travel the U.S. and Canada.
Tricia is my wife, my partner, my best friend. She has provided balance and input into all decisions through the past 39 exciting years, including 18 relocations in three states, raising a family and now deciding to relocate to our RV. Wow, she is the Best! Now, on to relocation number 19, as we “let the good times roll”.
